During the last four decades that I’ve been practicing meditation the public perception of this practice has shifted dramatically. In 1968 the Beatles brought meditation to the world stage in what would surely rate as the PR coup of all time. More recently a mounting flood of brain research demonstrating the physiological benefits of meditation and mindfulness has convinced a formerly skeptical public to take a fresh look. Now we see mindfulness or meditation being practiced in schools, corporations, even the British Parliament (hardly the most radical of institutions).

A Google search for ‘meditation’ shows 145 million page results. In case you don’t have time to sift through this vast mountain of  information, and sometimes misinformation, I’ve produced a series of 25 short meditation Q&A videos. Here’s the first: What are the Benefits of Meditation?

I enjoyed and appreciated your talk at Mark and Carolyn’s very much. Thank you for your energy, your music and your separation of religion and spirituality.
I am disappointed that I have a conflict with your retreat and am wondering if there will be another one anytime soon. Thanks again.
